My 10 Bridesmaid Tips

In honor of Kelsey and Danny's recent wedding, I've compiled a list of very serious bridesmaid tips:

1. Don't bother painting your nails the night before the wedding because you will have plenty of time on wedding day to do it.

2. While we're on the topic of nail polish, try out Essie gel polish because you can find it at CVS and keep using it even after the wedding's over! Two coats of gel + one layer of top coat and you're good to go!

3. Borrow your boyfriend's fancy bluetooth speaker so the bride tribe can jam out all day while getting ready. Ask him if you can use it when he's half asleep so he will definitely say yes.

4. Roll your ankle a few days before the wedding to increase the challenge of heel walking. This bridesmaid stuff isn't supposed to be easy!

5. Buy a fancy eye shadow palette at Sephora and practice your glam look all week leading up to the wedding. You'll get oodles of tips and compliments and save money on professional makeup (...unless your palette costs about the same anyway).

6. Wear Lipsense lipstick because it will stay put all night long and wearing it will validate the mild obsession you had a few months ago.

"Wait! I can't go to sleep yet!
I haven't taken a picture of my hair!"
7. Have a few pictures ready to show the hair stylist and don't be afraid to ask for a few extra bobby pins, or tell her how you like your hair parted. Go for a look you know you can't do on your own-you are in the hands of a professional!

8. Carry your bouquet at your belly button, tucked in close, because the wedding coordinator (and your mom) says it will look the best in pictures. Always stand up straight! (your mom is watching)

9. Don't forget to pose for a few personal pictures! You will rarely put this much effort into your appearance and should take advantage of it before it all falls apart. Also, take silly pictures with the other bridesmaids when you have down time. See a fancy tub? Hop in!

10. Start the dance floor party at the reception. You can wait until a good song plays but then, no excuses! Grab another bridesmaid (and maybe a cute ring bearer) and get the party started!

What tips would you guys add?

XOXO,
Maria
